In Armenia in the small town of Tegher ,near Aragac mountain from 17.06 till 1.07 this year took place plein – air meeting of artists under the name International Festival of Art in Armenia. 16 artists from Armenia, Georgia, Canada, Lithuania, Poland and Russia took part in it. Its organizers were the Armenian Union in Gdansk and Pottery Center in Tegher. The Union of Artists in Armenia took patronage of this event,
The principal organizer from Poland was an artist Gagik Parsamian , while from Armenia the chief organizer was his brother Albert who lent his pottery center in Tegher for the artistic activities.
Artists had at their disposal a charming place in the area of mountain nature. They were also provided with the opportunities to visit the most interesting objects of historic Armenia. There is no doubt that any cognitive impressions experienced then influenced a lot the works which were created in Tegher. Each participant of the plein -air meeting was transforming them in one’s own individual way. The result of those activities was the exhibition. At the opening of the Exhibition were present among others; Vice – Minister of Culture of Armenia Ara Khzmalyan, the President of Armenian Union of Artists Suren Safaryan and the President of the city of Asztarak. The Vice-Minister of Culture expressed his hope that the International Festival of Art would be continued in the future to become a tradition. This artistic meeting will remain for a long time in the memory of organizers, participants and local residents.
The sort of continuation of the presented above event in Armenia was the following exhibition in Gdansk . Its vernissage took place on the 13th of July 2019 in the Gdansk headquarters of the Armenian Union at Mariacka str.
