In this highly prestigious New York Museum there has been opened the first large exposition devoted to the exploration of eminent artistic and cultural achievements of the Armenian nation. It refers to the general period of 14 centuries from the 4th century when Armenians from the foot of Ararat mountain accepted Christianity as their national religion until the 17th century. All branches of art are represented and particularly the oldest sculptures and khachkars, illuminated manuscripts, old books, carpets and fabrics and finally the liturgy objects and architecture.
